IBR is now a member of UEBT

We are committed to a world where all people and biodiversity thrive. In this journey, we have adopted a plan to ethically source our ingredients from biodiversity.

IBR Public Commitments 2022-2025

1. Since 1995, IBR has been fostering communities that bring together innovation, industry, and agriculture. Through our membership with UEBT, we will be working together with our growers to raise awareness and educate about Responsible Sourcing, continuously optimize the sourcing of our natural materials, and promote within our communities the concepts of Sourcing with Respect for people and biodiversity. We aim that 100% of our business-critical renewable and natural materials are fully assessed and optimized under UEBT guidelines by 2025.

2. When sourcing from nature, we at IBR are committed to a sustainable approach to the usage of earth resources. Land allocation is kept to a minimum, and when possible, traditionally non-agricultural land is preferred. Drip irrigation and other water-conserving solutions are used exclusively. We prioritize regenerative biodiversity by supporting agrotechnical practices such as choosing locally acclimated plants, improving soil conditions, introducing beneficial insects, rotating crops, and more.

3. Nature has always been at the forefront of IBR’s innovation, and a source of ingredients for research, new product development, or commercialization. IBR has adopted UEBT’s access and benefit sharing (ABS) guidance to advance our ethical sourcing commitments and promote positive impact along supply chains.
