Quebec, QC, April 2 - Unipex Innovations, a subsidiary of the Unipex Group and leader in the field of innovative active ingredients for the cosmetics industry, is launching today its new name and global brand identity. Unipex Innovations will now be doing business as Lucas Meyer Cosmetics. Lucas Meyer Cosmetics is a brand new actor with unique expertise across the board. State-of-the-art active ingredients combined with innovative delivery systems and biomimetic functional ingredients now become the creative materials behind highly inspiring innovation services.
Following the acquisition of Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Unipex Innovations in July 2011 and a strategic reorganization, the company decided to change its name and update its branding to better reflect its comprehensive portfolio of products and services. "Unipex Innovations has built a solid reputation as a provider of innovative active ingredients over the past decade. We want to simplify our offering to customers and group our teams and proprietary products under one name. The company's management and ownership, as well as its people and products remain unchanged. Our new name and image reflect our wider array of sophisticated and highly innovative products and services. In addition to the name change, the company is adopting a new design scheme and the "Join the Spirit" tagline. Two new innovative active ingredients for aging skin
At the in-cosmetics show in Barcelona, Lucas Meyer Cosmetics will also unveil its two latest active ingredients: ProgelineTM and AdipofillTM. In 2012, with advances in scientific knowledge, we have come to see that it is no longer only about fighting the signs of aging, but also delaying the aging process. With ProgelineTM, a high tech biomimetic peptide, we are rethinking how to approach skin aging by modulating progerin, a new marker for aging, resulting in a complete remodelling effect and reduction of the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin.
As a complement to ProgelineTM, AdipofillTM is a bio-tech active ingredient encapsulated in our proprietary delivery system IonosomeTM. It stimulates the synthesis of fat tissue through a previously undiscovered pathway. The increase of fat content in skin cells results in face lipostructure that corrects wrinkles and fine lines, like a facelift in a jar.
